I want to tell you that through the book "A course of love" I learn a lot and I discover a lot. In the chapter "Time and the experience of transformation" we are into deep things. You must think it's exciting to read about creation, transformation, miracles, matter and energy. I have always been interested in time and space and where I am somewhere, how I view existence and my purpose here.
Two sentences from the book feel stimulating: "You have not been aware of all that you are. You are thus now called to discover and to become aware of all that you are.” That's exactly what I want. There is a lot I don't understand in this book, but my intuition tells me that I just want to dive into the lines of thought and enjoy what I discover.
Today it's the following that gets my attention and tickles a little extra. I read from the book:
“In order to facilitate your understanding, I call you now to imagine your body as a dot in the center of a circle and the circle as representing all that you are. The dot of your body is all that is bound by time. What transformation outside of time asks you to do is to see the body as but this one, small aspect of what you are.”
Wow, how exciting! I love seeing things in a different way. Must continue a bit more:
“This circle in which you have placed your body is not a circle of time and space.
It is not a circle that can be drawn around where you exist so as to define, perhaps, a mile of space and say that this is all you. No, the circle that exists around you is the circle of shared consciousness, the circle of unity. In truth, this circle is everything, the All of All, the universe, God.
But just as the Earth can be seen as your home, although you are rarely consciously aware of existing in this "larger" home, you will not always be aware of this circle of the Self as the All of Everything, and it will, in fact, be helpful as we begin to imagine on a smaller scale.”
Are you still there and have read this far? If so, here comes a good example of how you can experience how your body's territory can be expanded and understand how it is shared with others. Join now.
"You might begin by imagining first your actual physical home, then your neighborhood, community, city, state, country." "You identify with the citizens of the city, state, and country you occupy."
The text also describes that you have an address and that you have a route to and from your work, you visit the homes of friends or relatives, restaurants, places of civic duty and you perhaps have a favorite place that you also like to visit and that you consider partially yours.
Now during the summer it is possible for you to expand your territory by taking a vacation trip and having more than one place that feels like home; or maybe you never go far from the building you live in. The text continues: “What I ask you to do is to think of these areas as the territory of your body, and to remember that while this is your territory, it is a shared territory and a territory within the territory of planet Earth.”
Surely it's cool to think like this? It gets even better when you then continue to read about "The Territory of Conscious Awareness" where you step outside of the dot of the separated self and into the circle of unity where all you desire is already accomplished in the fullness and wholeness of the undivided Self.
