In Vedic Art one paints beyond thought and intellect. You become present in the moment and there is no judgment and that is how I started with this art form. My drawing teacher told me in grade 7: “Carina, you have to remember one thing. You cannot draw or paint.”
It took 45 years before I dared to have fun with colors again. Think as long as you can remember some words that a teacher said so long ago. Actually, I have him to thank because I craved colors so much that I searched for a way to paint without being judged and that's how I found Vedic Art. My hunger made me take a basic course, a continuation course and a teacher's course at a rapid pace with the Källman family on Öland.
I want to tell here that Vedic Art is not at all just painting and creating a work of art. It's so much deeper. It is one of many ways to find yourself. The term Veda comes from the ancient Indian culture. It can be translated as knowledge of art or creation. In the basic course that I offer July 8-13, you will receive the seventeen Vedic principles. I love that we start by letting go of our thoughts and instead start creating and at the end of the course we discover our inner greatness and realize that we are one with everything.
Here at home in Ängsladan in Gillberga there is a lovely space with easels and fantastic colors and when we want, we are out in the green wonderful meadow and paint each one by himself but together with others. You choose whether you want to do the entire course, which is six days, or whether you want to come for one or a few days.
I like to read in the book A Course in Miracles and A Course of Love and have many years of experience with these messages although I still take in messages that feel like new. There are similarities between the texts of these books and Vedic Art, which is natural because everything has the same goal. It's just different paths.
You choose the path that feels best in your heart.
